    Excelsior Hotel
    This was my first trip to NYC, my daughter's second. I wanted a location that was accessible to everything we wanted to see and do, and NOT in the midst of crowds. The Excelsior filled the bill perfectly. Its location, on West 81st, is across the street from the Museum of Natural History and easily accessible to metro & bus. The upper West side is a neighborhood where strollers,walkers and small eateries are the norm. We easily attended events downtown, East Village, etc. and feasted on exceptional art at all the museums and wonderful food. As with all NY hotels, the Excelsior seems pricy for what you get but it's well maintained and recently renovated....More

    BEST WESTERN GREENWELL INN
    I was suprised by this hotel. I do not like out of doors hotel rooms and I am guessing that it was not as nice when it opened. They have remodeled and done a great job, flat panel tv, fridge in every room etc. There was trouble with one of the boilers and we were near it so sleep escaped us the first night. After telling the management they discounted that night and had it repaired before we got back that afternoon. For the price this was a great buy....More

    Mirabeau Park
    our room was VERY far from the ballroom and from the restaurant and bar. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The room was apparently previously a smoking room and there were burn marks in the carpet, but overall a very comfortable room. The restaurant is outstanding!...More
